This is an excellent adaptation
Plot
In the eternal city of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendía family navigate love, oblivion, and the inevitability of their past and their destiny. This is Netflix’s most expensive project made in Latin America to date, with Colombian groups and indigenous communities constructing the props and sets for the series.
We start with incredible photography, good script presentation, and creative direction with an approach that respects the original work
They also adapt the events of the book with dedication and use resources such as concept photos to add to the narrative. At the same time, it respects in an ethnic and cultural aspect what Colombia is, as a people and society.
Traditions, music, food, and racial diversity are part of what the universe of Macondo is, as well as the history that makes up the years of Colombia’s violent past
This gives way to its chronology, which is perfectly ordered, resulting in a slightly different product in its content, but not in a negative connotation for the development of the story. In fact, it is a work of great dedication and quite true, which evokes nostalgia for what One Hundred Years of Solitude is and the artistic impact it has had on subsequent generations, influenced by Latin American literature and the work of García Márquez ..
